Vic: Four arrested after police seize 2000 counterfeit items

MELBOURNE, Feb 25 AAP - Police have seized more than 2,000 counterfeit items and arrested
four people in a raid at the Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne's city centre.

After a two-month operation, police swooped on the illegal apparel, as customers queued
to pick up bargains at the popular market.

The raid did not seem to bother customers, who continued to hunt out bargains at the
market, Network Ten said.

About 50 police and agents from global brand protection confiscated the goods, which
included famous brands such as Nike, adidas (OK), BMW and Industrie (OK).
