(OSU Daily Barometer) (CSTV U-WIRE) CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Led by a strong performance in the 200 butterfly on Saturday, the Oregon State women's swim team placed seventh (483.5 points) at the Pacific-10 Swimming Championships at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool in Long Beach, Calif. Arizona won the meet with 1325.5 points, breaking Stanford's two-year winning streak.
For the second straight day, OSU scored four swimmers in a butterfly event. Saturday in the 200 butterfly, freshman Saori Haruguchi led the Beavers with a fourth-place finish with a time of one minute, 58.37 seconds. For Haruguchi, that fourth place finish marks her third top-ten finish ...
