The Irish government and Sinn Fein discussed plans Wednesday for reviving a Catholic-Protestant administration in Northern Ireland, the intended cornerstone of the province's 1998 peace accord.
But after hourlong talks in the office of Prime Minister Bertie Ahern, Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams said his Irish Republican Army-linked party had "ruled out" a possible plan for reviving power-sharing _ because it would concede too much ground to his Protestant rivals, the Democratic Unionist Party.
