IF there is a testimony to convince companies of the benefits of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, it would be that of North Malaya Engineers Trading Co Sdn Bhd (NMET).

The company started out as a manufacturer of wire mesh for reinforced concrete, barbed wire and wire netting. It then expanded to steel wire and galvanised steel wire manufacturing in 1974, with the purchase of drawing machines and galvanising equipment from Germany and Japan respectively. The production of annealed wire soon followed suit.
