Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Committee
on House Government Reform March 09, 2006 Mr. Chairman and Members, Thank
you for the opportunity to appear before you today at this hearing ``The
Regulation of Dietary Supplements: A Review of Consumer Safeguards``, representing
the Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS) at the National Institutes of Health
(NIH). I became Director of ODS in late 1999, and I have had the pleasure
