The Paul Taylor Dance Company wrapped up its annual City Center stint this weekend, a three-week affair showcasing the work of the venerable choreographer's career.

And what an oeuvre it is. This year's season stretched from 1965's "From Sea to Shining Sea" to a pair of New York premieres _ 18 dances in all, just a drop in Taylor's bucket of more than 120 works; the company celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, and the man at its helm has been creating roughly two pieces a year for much of this time.
