TROY - A delightful surprise awaits the hungry customer here hoping for
good Arabic cuisine outside of Dearborn. I have cooked and eaten Arabic
food for thirty years. Outside of home cooking in the Middle East, this
little restaurant in a strip mall on the northeast corner of Maple and
Coolidge in Troy is the best Lebanese fare I've ever had.
Owner-chef Ali Hojiaj and partner Mike Chalhoub are offering wonderful,
fresh fare at Grape Leaves, a small, immaculately clean, nicely decorated
nook fronted by a white picket fence.
