Vic: Federal police charge three after counter-terrorism swoop

MELBOURNE, April 1 AAP - Three Melbourne men have been charged by the Australian Federal
Police over links with a terrorist organisation as part of a joint state and federal police
investigation into alleged terrorism cells in Sydney and Melbourne.

A 25-year-old Brunswick man, a 21-year-old Coburg man and a 26-year-old Hadfield man
were remanded in custody last night after counter-terrorism teams swooped on Melbourne's
northern suburbs.

In a statement, the AFP said ASIO, Victoria police and federal police worked together
to arrest the men.
