Sony Ericsson Gets Go-ahead to Control Suohong Electronics

BEIJING, Apr 04, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications announces it has received the approval from the Ministry of Commerce of China to take a controlling stake in Beijing Suohong Electronics Co., Ltd. (BSE), a manufacturing company controlled by Sony China.

Sony Ericsson will raise its shares in BSE up to 74.5 and make it an internal manufacturing base owned by Sony Ericsson in China. Previously, 60 of BSE operations are supplying printed circuit boards to Sony Ericsson.

After paying USD 12 million for the deal, Sony Ericsson will set up a complete mobile phone base in China ...
