Americans dreaming of Brazil no doubt are imagining Rio de Janeiro --
bikinis, beaches and samba -- but Sao Paulo, despite its lack of any
instant touristic association, is probably a more intense and unique
experience for the American visitor.
Sao Paulo also by far has the largest Jewish population in Brazil and where
the Jewish traveler has the most options.
This is South America on steroids. Sao Paulo is the best of Brazil, the
