(Technician) (CSTV U-WIRE) RALEIGH, N.C. -- Tiffany Stansbury said she was about to fall asleep when she was watching the WNBA Draft on Wednesday.
But when her name came on the television as she watched the draft with her N.C. State teammates, the senior forward said the mood in the room got exciting with her teammates' congratulations.
"They were all happy for me," Stansbury said. "They were clapping."
The Houston Comets, winners of four of the WNBA's nine championships, chose Stansbury in the third round with the 29th overall pick in the draft.
Stansbury said it was a dream come true to have a chance to play on the next level.
