Heartbreak Hill got its name by breaking countless Boston Marathon runners. Robert Cheruiyot used its long inclines to take control in a record-setting victory.

The Kenyan surged away from Benjamin Maiyo on the hill Monday and cruised to his second Boston Marathon win in 2 hours, 7 minutes, 14 seconds, beating the course record by a second and Maiyo by more than a minute.
