Ji Lee is aware that his resume, particularly the four years he spent
toiling away as a designer at top-ranking ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi
(which he describes as creatively "very frustrating"), may lead some to
question the motivation behind his latest effort, The Bubble Project.

The South Korean-born artist has been slapping thousands of giant,
caption-bubble-shaped stickers on advertisements all over New York City for
pen-toting passersby to customize by filling in their own messages.

In the eyes of the law and the agencies that create these ads, Lee, a
