Sen. Reed Renews Call For Remaining Fulton County Tax Assessors To Resign

State Sen. Kasim Reed (D-Atlanta) has renewed his call for the two
remaining members on the Fulton County Board of Assessors to resign. The
Board has been plagued by controversy in recent months after an independent
audit found that the department had been mismanaged.

"Over the past few weeks, three of the five members of the Fulton County
Board of Assessors have resigned, and the remaining Assessors need to
follow suit," Sen. Reed said today. "The Audit found that the Board has
done of poor job of managing the tax department, and that has cost the
county millions of dollars."
