Playwright Tracey Scott Wilson won the 2004 Kesselring Prize and the 2004
Whiting Award for playwriting, and her brilliant script for "The Story"
leaves no doubt about her talent as an emerging star.

Inspired by real-life events at The Washington Post in the early 1980s,
"The Story" examines what makes a person cross the line between honesty and
deceit. "The Story" is inspired by the Janet Cooke scandal in 1981 where
Cooke won The Pulitzer Prize for writing about an inner city child, Jimmy,
only to later admit the story was fraudulent.
