Families turned out by the hundreds to see and experience the Northeast
Performing Arts Group's rousing rendition of Walt Disney's "The Lion King"
last weekend. Back by popular demand, the Group's soulful rendition is
aptly called "The Lion King Reloaded."

An African story in nature much like the story of Sundiata or Shaka Zulu,
"The Lion King" is about the life of a young lion named Simba who struggles
with the loss of his father, the love he feels for a young lioness, Nala,
and his quest for courage to become king of his pride in the absence of his
father's guidance.

Performed by children from throughout the city at the Historic Lincoln
