Last week members of the Washington Wizards ventured out on their community
service agenda, visiting Children's Hospital on Michigan Avenue in
Northeast Washington, D.C.
Arranged by Wizards Community Relations Senior Vice President Judy
Holland-Burton, the visit was the first made by the Wizards.
Jackie Bowens, Vice President of Child Government and External Affairs at
the hospital commended their outreach efforts. "The Wizards join the long
list of professional sports organizations to visit this institution," she
said. "We are happy that the players can bring some happiness to the
