Jeannine has led a life of turmoil, dealing with a disease that has
continually threatened everything she loves. She had lost her children, her
job and her hope, but thanks to ADAMH-funded Amethyst, Jeannine was able to
overcome her addiction to alcohol and deal with the trauma she has suffered
from being a domestic violence victim and most importantly, she has
regained all that she lost. During her last years of marriage, Jeannine
turned to drugs and alcohol for comfort, she had no idea they would soon
take over her life. Jeannine divorced her husband in 1991 and started
