Attorney General applauds signing of Anti-Meth Bill

After Gov. Bob Taft recently signed Senate Bill 53 into law, Attorney
General Jim Petro said the measure will make it much more difficult for
methamphetamine addicts to get their hands on ingredients to manufacture
the highly addictive drug.
"Methamphetamine cooks will no longer have easy access to large quantities
of pseudoephedrine in Ohio," Petro said. "Even so, meth abuse will remain a
problem that we must address by continuing to train law-enforcement
officials across the state to aggressively root out and dismantle
clandestine drug labs and by helping users seek effective treatment for
their addictions."
