Divestment conference renews activism

WASHINGTON - Despite a few disruptions by a small number of angry,
pro-Israel demonstrators, the Palestine Solidarity Movement's 5th annual
conference accomplished a lot. The attendees left with inspiration and a
plan to organize events all over the country on March 30th.

Held the weekend of February 17th, the conference attracted 376 activists
representing 90 different campuses and organizations.

The diverse group spent two days discussing ways to project the story of
Palestinian dispossession, life under military occupation, and how to
rectify America's overt pro-Israel bias. Panels, workshops, and a forum let
