Congressman John Dingell addresses intrafaith gathering at ICA
DEARBORN - A little over one week has passed since the bombing of an
important Shi'a shrine in Iraq and reprisal killings.
But while the violence overseas threatens to erupt into a civil war, local
Shi'a and Sunni leaders are hoping that their efforts to come together
since the attack produce lasting changes.
"We feel from an organizational perspective, while interfaith work is
important, we feel that intrafaith work is just as important if not more
important," said Dawud Walid, Executive Director of the Council on
