Awards are normally meant to recognize people for their outstanding
contributions, but here is this what we, and the Indian-American community,
has to say about India Abroad Managing Editor Aziz Haniffa - no award will
quite capture the range of his writings' influence on all issues affecting
India and Indian Americans (even though he would blush and guffaw and say
in his usual humble way 'C'mon guys, don't embarrass me!')

But here it was, yet another award that he picked up, this time in Dallas,
Texas, from the Indian American Friendship Council's Texas Chapter, which
honored him with its first Most Oustanding Journalist of the Year Award in
