India in talks with China to resolve border dispute

India and China last week embarked, in rather unique style, on bilateral
talks to resolve the vexed border dispute between the countries. Top Indian
and Chinese officials traveled to the backwaters of Kerala and got into a
houseboat to talk border peace.

But did the salubrious backwater environs of Kumarakom in Kerala - the
southern Indian state popularly known as 'God's Own Country' - help resolve
the vexed border dispute between India and China?

Dai Bingguo, executive vice foreign minister and special representative of
the Chinese Premier, said "The beauty of this place has refreshed our
wisdom. It will now help us to evolve the right solution."
