Hillary finally speaks up on immigration

After shying away largely from the hot button issue of immigration reform,
Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) on March 8 released a major statement on the
problem, stating she's in favor of reform that supports a "path to earned
citizenship for those who are here, working hard, paying taxes, respecting
the law, and willing to meet a high bar for becoming a citizen."

But like President George Bush, the senator, who is being touted as a
Democratic presidential candidate for 2008, reiterated that she
"categorically opposes any program that grants unconditional amnesty for
illegal immigration."
