SADDLE BROOK — Chaos reigned, and on the scoreboard, so did Saddle Brook.

The Falcons scored on a wild play in the bottom of the eighth inning to nip Pompton Lakes, 2-1, in a softball game called "bizarre" by the winning coach and "unlike anything I have ever seen" by the losing coach.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth, Pompton Lakes sophomore pitcher Chelsea Ott was facing Christine Esposito at the plate. The count was 3-0.
