Here are some thoughts concerning a broad array of important political
issues that are going on around the country and at home. There were so many
issues that I felt I wanted to write a column on each one, which I will do
later but I thought I would just tease you about them now.

EDUCATION

I just returned from a very important retreat. It had a very interesting
group of individuals who were trying to assess where Latinos are today and
where we need to go in the future. Several things became very clear. For
