(Montana Kaimin) (U-WIRE) MISSOULA, Mont. -- Despite Montana's comparatively low gas prices, University of Montana students are searching for ways to keep gas costs from overrunning their budgets.

Montana has some of the lowest gas prices in the nation, second only to Wyoming. According to AAA, a gallon of regular gasoline in Montana costs $2.603 on average. The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is $2.919. But students shouldn't get used to the lower prices, said UM economics professor Richard Barrett.
