Production Capacity Redundancy Appears in China's 11 Industries

BEIJING, May 01, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Presently, China's 11 industries presented overproduction or potential overproduction.

Overproduction industries:

Steel industry: production has exceeded market demand by 120 million tons and 70 million tons of production capacity is under construction.

Electrolytic aluminum: its production capacity has reached 10.30 million tons and unutilized capacity reaches 2.6 million tons.

Auto industry: the auto production capacity has exceeded 2 million. A larger volume is planning.
