Coco Crisp returned to the Boston Red Sox lineup Sunday after missing 42 games with a broken finger. Crisp was activated from the disabled list and outfielder Wily Mo Pena, who has a left wrist injury, replaced him on it.

Crisp was back in his usual leadoff and center field spots against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Crisp, obtained to take over both spots after Johnny Damon signed with the New York Yankees, fractured his left index finger while trying to steal third in his fifth game.
