(Independent Florida Alligator) (U-WIRE) GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The "Java Blue" Vera Bradley bags recently hit an anxiously awaiting market.
"We just got a big shipment," said Mike W. Thibault, owner of The Village Jeweler. "It's like gold."
Vera Bradley manufactures colorful and uniquely patterned cosmetic bags, purses, tote bags and luggage. From a distance, they look like bandannas turned into rucksacks.
"New versions mean new color combos," said journalism major Kim Agnello.
They're the most recognizable trend at the University of Florida since Ron Zook effigies.
