Susan Decker reported from Washington. * Vonage Holdings, already facing shareholder lawsuits over a stock that has dropped 48 percent since its May debut, has been sued by Verizon Communications for allegedly infringing on its patents for Internet telephone technology.Vonage, a pioneer in Voice over Internet Protocol, or VOIP, said Monday that it planned to fight the claims, which involve seven Verizon patents, including one for technology that enables Internet callers to reach traditional telephone customers.
