Exxon Mobil Corp. faces another lawsuit over a massive underground oil spill in the city's Brooklyn area that is still seeping sticky goo into a city waterway, decades after the leak was first noticed.

The slow pace of the cleanup has prompted residents and elected officials to launch a series of lawsuits against the oil company, and now state environmental officials want to take the issue to court, too.
