South Korea is pushing for a summit between President Roh Moo-hyun and U.S. President George W. Bush, Roh's office said Friday amid heightened tension in the region over North Korea's possible moves to test-fire a long-range missile.

Though the summit "hasn't yet been finalized," South Korea "was pushing for one in Washington in September," an official for South Korea's presidential office said on condition of anonymity, saying he was not allowed to speak publicly to the media.
