(The Daily Universe) (U-WIRE) PROVO, Utah -- Standing in a line wearing uncomfortable clothes while greeting droves of strangers is not the way most people like spending their time. This is the way some brides view receptions.

"The idea of what I would do at a reception as a bride sounds like the most miserable way to end the happiest day of my life," said Lindsey Huntbach, 21, a BYU student in elementary education.

Along with the discomfort and inconvenience of a reception, some future brides are also turned off by the cost and stress of planning receptions. Whatever the reason, more and more brides are choosing to do away with it all together.
