Ussher team lies fourth in Utah race

After covering flat land and flat water for the first two days of the Primal Quest, Nelson adventure racers were on Wednesday entering the business end of the 800km odyssey though Utah's spectacular Canyonlands.

Not that it's been a walk in the park so far for the 89 teams entered in the non-stop multisport race through southeastern Utah. The terrain may have been flat but the heat has brutalised even the easiest trek.
"We got beat up by the heat quite badly,'' Grizzlytours.com-Port Nelson's leader Paul Chaplow of Wellington said on Tuesday. ...
