Fed: Govt worried about slide in Telstra share price - Howard

CANBERRA, June 30 AAP - Prime Minister John Howard says he is worried about Telstra's
falling share price and has scolded telco chief Sol Trujillo for saying he is proud of
the slide.

Mr Trujillo said yesterday he was "proud" of the drop in share price under his leadership
and blamed the fall on a difficult regulatory environment and big investments the company
was making.

He told the National Press Club: "I do take responsibility for the part of the share
price that's dropped because we are spending ...
