Fed: Most cabinet ministers silent on leadership crisis

SYDNEY, July 11 AAP - For the most part, ministers arriving for today's federal cabinet
meeting kept their views on the Liberal leadership crisis to themselves as they ran a
large media gauntlet outside Sydney's government offices.

Prime Minister John Howard and Treasurer Peter Costello met for their first face to
face encounter today since the rift emerged over whether or not a leadership deal was
made 12 years ago.

Mr Howard, who gave a doorstop interview outside Kirribilli House before his morning
walk today, arrived first, going straight into the Phillip Street office ...
