Sharp eyes higher LCD TV revenue

SHARP-ROXY Sales & Service Co (M) Sdn Bhd hopes to double liquid crystal display (LCD) television contribution to revenue to 20 per cent by 2008.
Locally, LCD TV demand is expected to hit 20,000 units this year and Sharp hopes to garner 30 per cent of the market.
The Japanese group has introduced six models of AQUOS LCD TV to date and plans to bring in a few more by the end of this year.
At present, the group holds 20 per cent of the local LCD TV market share.
