Deva Gang suspect mix-up delays court proceedings

KUALA LUMPUR: A case of mistaken identity resulted in the Shah Alam magistrate's court staying open until 8pm yesterday.

At 6.50pm, police had brought three Deva Gang suspects to the court to be released as ordered by the court earlier.
However, to their dismay, they realised that one of the three suspects brought to court was the wrong person.

The court then had to wait for the police to bring the right suspect from the lock-up in Bukit Aman.

It was only an hour later that the three were brought before magistrate Suriyanilakma Abdul Kadir.
