Fed: Australians should be eating two oily fish meals a week

SYDNEY, July 25 AAP - Oily fish should grace Australian dining tables at least twice
a week, but many families aren't eating any at all, the National Heart Foundation says.

The organisation has developed guidelines for the recommended intake of fish and fish
oil supplements rich in Omega 3 fatty acids.

These special polyunsaturated fats are known to help offset the risk of coronary heart
disease, but there has been widespread confusion about how beneficial they are.
