Inventions Take Minority in Domestic Patent Applications
BEIJING, Aug 01, 2006 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- Figures show in early 2000, China's total sum of patent applications for the first time came to 1 million; in March 2004, the figure came to 2 million; in June 2006, came the third 1 million.
Through the figures, it can be seen that patent applications in China grew at an astronomical speed after 2000, and this tendency continues now. Data show last year State Intellectual Property Office of China received an aggregative sum of 476,364 patent applications of three types, a growth of 34.6% year on year, with invention patent applications of 170,000 (93,485 ...
