Deva Gang suspects to be charged soon

KUALA LUMPUR: Charges are being prepared against 15 suspected Deva Gang members being held under the Emergency Ordinance.

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said the matter is under the scrutiny of the Attorney-General's Chambers, which will decide on the charges.
"I cannot say when they will be charged, but it will be soon," he said.

The suspects are being investigated for armed robbery and firearms offences.

To date, the members are believed to be linked to 14 cases of armed robberies, luxury-car hijackings and murders.
