QL Resources plans to set up biodiesel plant in Sabah

DIVERSIFIED group QL Resources Bhd will invest up to RM160 million to build a biodiesel plant in Sabah.

On Monday, the group signed an agreement with POIC Sabah Sdn Bhd to acquire a 8ha land located in Lahad Datu for RM10.5 million.
The acquisition will enable QL Resources to construct a biodiesel plant with an annual capacity of 175,000 tonnes per annum. The plant is expected to begin production in 2008.
