Health board offers Cherry a deal -- She must drop suit and retire

ENGLEWOOD — The Board of Health voted Tuesday evening to offer Health Director Violet Cherry a retirement package that would provide her with a pension and leave.

The 3-1 vote sends the proposal to the City Council. Curtis Caviness was the only board member to vote against the agreement. Council members said they will consider the deal in the coming weeks.
