IPOH: The late Sir Norman Frank Sisson may not have blood ties here, but the many friends he made over the last 15 years showed that it did not matter.
They were from all walks of life and showed him they cared. This made him feel like he was one of them.
Perhaps that was why he wanted so much to remain in Malaysia and not return to Australia after his business venture ended in 1996.
Sir Norman died of lung and kidney complications last Wednesday at the the Ipoh Hospital, the same day he became a permanent resident.
