Fed: Coonan in denial of inevitable media mergers: Conroy
CANBERRA, Oct 19 AAP - Price rises of all Australian media stocks is evidence of the
looming concentration of media ownership, Labor's communications spokesman Stephen Conroy
says.
Senator Conroy accused Communications Minister Helen Coonan of being in a state of
denial over the inevitable concentration of media following her reforms.
"The prime minister's entire media package was about allowing the biggest and most
powerful Australian to become bigger and more powerful," he told reporters.
