(The Good Five Cent Cigar) (U-WIRE) KINGSTON, R.I. -- My Chemical Romance is a quintet hailing from New Jersey, whose much-anticipated third album "The Black Parade" hit stores Oct. 24. The title is derived from the band's alter ego, lead vocalist Gerard Way said in a press release.
The band consists of guitarist Ray Toro, bassist Mikey Way (Gerard's brother), guitarist Frank Iero and drummer Bob Bryar.
Front man Gerard Way and ex-drummer Matt Pelissier formed MCR between 2001 and 2002. The first song they wrote was "Skylines and Turnstiles," which was written by Gerard about his feelings on Sept. 11. Shortly after, Toro and Mikey Way joined the band.
