That same year, Matt Damon was chased around by police in a Mini-Cooper in "The Bourne Identity" -- and looked about ten times more badass than Bond in the process. The producers of the 007 series, now in its 22nd run, realized (wisely) that it was time for a change. Gone are the crazy gimmicks and plots that have the fate of the world in the balance.
