Fed: Survey reveals migraine sufferers misunderstood

MELBOURNE, Dec 12 AAP - Next time a co-worker is absent with a migraine, understand
they are suffering from a chronic condition that feels like having a root canal surgery
or breaking a bone.

That was one of the messages today from neurologist Valerie Tay, who treats migraine
sufferers at St Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne.

A national internet-based survey conducted by Woolcott Research last month quizzed
500 migraine sufferers about the impact the condition has on their lives.
