Statement of Stephen M. Liston Director Office of International Religious
Freedom U.S. Department of State Committee on House International Relations
December 21, 2006 Mr. Chairman and Members of the Subcommittee: It is an
honor to be here today before the Committee and I want to begin by thanking
you for holding this hearing. Ambassador Hanford was very sorry to have
to miss this hearing as a result of a severe illness in his family. He
